I’m excited to share with you one of our disruptive innovative companies called Atheer Labs, which is enabling each of us to connect ourselves to a 3D world using a technology known as augmented reality.
Augmented Reality Vs. Virtual Reality
Augmented reality is a way we can enhance our experience of the world in 3D. And Atheer’s 3D wireless operating system enables us to enjoy this enhanced reality.
It’s important for me to distinguish augmented reality versus virtual reality. Virtual reality creates a scene or experience that is virtual, not happening in the moment, yet projecting us into another future moment that could be at a beach in Thailand or walking across a tightrope at the top of Iguassu Falls. So that technology extends from being in the current physical space and time and projects us into the future.
Augmented reality keeps us in this present moment and enhances what we’re experiencing currently. It makes me think back to the early days of the super heroes and the super powers that they had in the comic books.
For example, what was brought to life in the movie “Iron Man”, where Tony Stark has super powers that are essentially an augmented reality. He’s able to look out and see this enhanced world on a computer screen in front of him, and by using hand gestures he’s able to manipulate drawings, to talk with people, to send documents, to see email, to create drawings and designs…all with the wave of a hand.
